Module: Ontology/Scheduling

Summary:

  • Created Scheduling ontology that provides a basis for modeling the scheduling process.
  • Conducted hands on on Jena by creating an in-memory model based on the ontology created.
  • Created test individuals to form a sample knowledge base.

Notes:

Now that I basically have a model to work on, the next problem is how to make the application make sense of this structured data such that it performs the expected operation–meeting scheduling. One of the issues I’m seeing is whether the cost for building the structured data model is worth the effort. But I’m thinking that is a little beyond my objectives. However, the efficiency of the approach bothers me sometimes.
